However, those were all mistakes that Nintendo have learned from, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. In an interview with IGN (viaNintendo Life), Guillemot said that the NX may end up being a more attractive proposition for third party publishers than the Wii U was.
“What we see is that Nintendo has learned from the Wii U,” he said. “All publishers learn from what they do, and then come with something new and more attractive, which I think is the case here.”
This certainly sounds encouraging, and it sounds like Nintendo may have come up with a product that is more appealing than the Wii U was, at least for third parties. Now whether or not that product ends up resonating with customers remains to be seen.
