Environmental destructibility used to be a headline feature for DICE’s Frostbite Engine (well, at least until they retrofitted it for use in roleplaying games and soccer simulators). Suffice to say, last year’s Battlefield Hardline was a little too understated with the destructibility factor, leaving us with an experience that was disappointingly static at times, a la Call of Duty. But Battlefield 1 just seems to insist on setting itself apart. Youtuber jackfrags released a video showcasing the scope of destructibility in Battlefield 1.
All in all, we’re even more excited about Battlefield 1 now, than before. What’s your take?
