One of the big complaints that fans of Call of Duty have had with the games of late has been just how far from the franchise’s roots they have strayed. Especially when it comes to the structure of the campaign as well as the settings of the games, these new games hardly resemble the World War II (or modern) era shooters that these games became popular as in the first place.
“The campaign is comparable to classic Call of Duty [games],” he said. “The big difference being some of these optional missions you’ll be able to do all throughout the story campaign.”
Those optional missions should at least add some more replayibility and play time to the campaign, which will otherwise be pretty short, if Horton’s comments about it being comparable to classic Call of Duty games are to be believed. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this November.
