With Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty has now finally shed its military trappings and gone full science fiction- and it looks like developers Infinity Ward are ready to embrace that setting, and utilize it fully and thoroughly to deliver a unique Call of Duty experience unlike any we have had so far. Infinity Ward’s Brian Horton discussed, for instance, how the weapons in the new game will be ‘energy based,’ and how they will be unique to the Call of Duty franchise as a whole.
Basically, it sounds like there will be far more variety in the arsenal of weapons available to players this time around than there ever has been before- which is not something that I can complain about. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is due out in November this year on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
