Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC Awakening is finally coming to the Xbox 360 several weeks after the downloadable content pack was released for the Xbox One and PS4. Major Nelson spilled the beans about the content and said it will be arriving on the last generation console next week.
Awakening will be available for the Xbox 360 on Thursday, May 5 which is supposed to be just a couple of days after the brand new Call of Duty game is supposed to be announced. The downloadable content was released for the PS3 earlier this month and has been getting released sporadically over the different platforms.
The release of Awakening on the Xbox 360 is so late that PS4 Black Ops 3 players are already playing the second set of DLC missions. None of the other DLC packs is going to be released on the previous generation consoles. The newest game in the long running series, is rumored to be called Call of Duty: Infinite War and will supposedly be announced by May 3. Source: Rheena.com
Spacehulk: Deathwing got its first official gameplay trailer and it appears the look and feel of the game are surpassing some people’s expectations. The game is developed by Streum on studio and Cyanide and is part of the long and often branching Warhammer 40K series.
The game looks like a pretty cool first person shooter, and is a bit reminiscent of something like Dead Space considering you’re wandering about an old space station that is now largely abandoned and fighting all kinds of creepy aliens. The difference between that game and this one is you can play it alone, or you can get a team of three to go into battle with you.
The game is looking pretty good since it is built on the Unreal 4 Engine. Spacehulk: Deathwing is slated to be coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC later this summer. Check out the video below to get a taste.
In the midst of announcing its stance on cheaters and exploiters, Ubisoft Massive has begun banning cheaters in Tom Clancy’s The Division. After noting on its official blog that it would be “handing out the biggest wave of suspensions and bans to date over the course of the next few days,” users on Reddit confirmed that ban waves have been handed out to cheating players. These come from officialcomments made by community manager Hamish Bode on Twitch and an image of the ban email itself is also available.
The new punishments for cheating are quite severe. Cheat once and you’re banned for 14 days. Repeat your error and you’re banned permanently. Massive will also release a list of known exploits for each major patch and any user caught taking advantage of them will face consequences. What about the unknown exploits? We’ll see how that works in the coming days.
And hey, at least the studio managed to fix that odd glitch where you’d die if you stood next to certain ladders for too long. That’s progress. Now if only the damn loot drops and crafting were better. Source: Rheena.com
We’ve speculated about it for a very long time, but the time for that speculation is coming to an end- EA have confirmed that they will be taking the wraps off of DICE’s Battlefield 5 in exactly one week, on May 6.
The premier of the game will be more than just a release date and a trailer, though- EA confirmed that the announcement will also be accompanied by a developer panel. EA also states that the entire event will provide an “insight into the minds of the developers as you hear from the Creative Director Lars Gustavsson and Lead Producer Aleksander Grondal on the past, present and the future of Battlefield.
Additionally, “you will be able to join in the conversation as we open the floor to questions from viewers,” EA told VideoGamer.
Battlefield 5 has been rumored for a while now- apparently it takes the series back into the World War era, though specifics beyond those rumors are unknown. It is also unknown when exactly the game will launch, especially given that EA are also propping up Titanfall 2 as a tentpole shooter, and they probably want to avoid cannibalism.
Whenever it does launch, though, I think we can safely conclude that it will come to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Source: Rheena.com
Gearbox’s newest game, Battleborn, keeps in the studio’s tradition of really playing with the conventions of the shooter genre- in this case, by really evolving what a multiplayer shooter can be like. This launch trailer for the game, which you can see for yourself below, tries to sell that premise to the viewer as best it can in its short runtime.
On the whole, it comes as one overwhelming montage of extremely colorful violence- I imagine this is what an extremely violent acid trip feels like, actually. We get to see lots of gameplay footage, character intros, and some of the maps and levels on offer. You can check out this trailer for yourself below.
Battleborn itself will be made available to players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on May 3- and after its extremely successful beta, which saw over 2 million players participate, I think it is safe to conclude that this will be another runaway success for Gearbox.
A leak on Reddit indicates that Battlefield 5 will be set during World War II, and is set to release on December 6th. Furthermore, the leak suggests that the yet-to-be-announced game will be subtitled “Eastern Front,” implying that the focus this time will be on the Russian front, known for being the scene of some of the most brutal, tooth-and-nails fighting in the war.
WWII’s been an underutilized game setting of late (although if went back in time to circa 2005 you’d have found nothing but WWII shooters lining the store-shelves.) Over the course of the seventh gen, most AAA FPS franchises shifted to modern/futuristic settings (ironically, because WWII fatigue had set in by around 2007).
Call of Duty is taking the logical next step with Infinite Warfare’s alleged sci-fi setting, but there are many people who really want a AAA WWII shooter throwback. What would a current-gen WWII Battlefield game look like? Most early WWII FPSs were corridor shooters, built around the memory limitations of sixth-gen platforms.
However, DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine is based on the premise of wide, open environments, and a bit of simple geography tells us that there’s a lot of countryside in Russia. We expect Eastern Front to trade burned-out cityscapes for environments that hearken back to the Bad Company era—lots of open countryside and a focus on emergent gameplay. Without further details, though, it’s all up in the air. So as usual take this report with a grain of salt. Source: Rheena.com
This one’s a bit of downer: Bungie’s Community Manager, David Dague (AKA DeeJ), debunked rumours that redditor RezylAzzir was actually a Bungie employee. The Destiny community’s been abuzz with rumours and theories about new content underway on account of a series of cryptic posts on Destiny’s subreddit by an unknown person who went by the username RezylAzzir.
RezylAzzir discovered and promptly posted about a hidden in-game Dead Ghost just 17 minutes after the Prison of the Elders update went live. This incredibly fast turnover led many to believe RezylAzzir was part of Bungie’s team. The mysterious redditor did little to dissuade that line of thought and went ahead to post a series of cryptic statements (some in Latin), which, by a stretch, could be interpreted to mean that a major Destiny update is set to drop on September 9th.
However all of this was debunked by DeeJ who stated: “Oh, and hey. Rezyl Azzir is not one of us. We cannot confirm nor can we decipher these riddles. It’s a mystery to us as well. Fun stuff, though. If you don’t know what we’re talking about, don’t worry about it. If you do, enjoy the speculation.”
Activision confirmed that Destiny’s sequel will only arrive in 2017, though major new content is promised to arrive some time later this year. Source: Rheena.com
DC Universe Online is now available on the Xbox One and GamingBolt recently caught up with S.J. Mueller who is the Creative Director of the game, to check out how the game is shaping up on Microsoft’s console. The game is already available on the PS4 and PC, so what prompted the devs to bring the game on the Xbox One?
“When we transitioned to Daybreak Games last year, it opened up a lot of opportunities for us – we were able to redefine and evolve as a company,” Mueller said to GamingBolt.”This also meant that we were able to develop games on different platforms like Xbox One. DC Universe Online has a thriving community and Xbox one users have been asking for us to bring the game over to the Xbox so that they too can be part of the DC Universe. We’re really excited that they’ll have the opportunity to work alongside (or against) Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Circe, Lex Luthor and the Joker this April when DCUO launches on the XB1.”
Furthermore, he also confirmed that the game will be running at 1080p on the Xbox One with an unlocked 30 frames per second experience. Mueller also revealed that they did not used the Xbox One’s 7th core CPU to improve performance. However, they simply used the functionality available within Unreal Engine 3 to optimize the Xbox One build.
The game is now available for free on the Xbox One. Stay tuned for our full interview with Mueller soon. Source: Rheena.com
Exotic vendor Xur has returned to the Tower in Bungie’s Destiny and is carrying a new range of Exotics. You can find him near the Crucible Quartermaster where he’ll remain till 2 AM PST, May 1st.
This week, Xur is carrying Twilight Garrison (Titan chest), ATS/8 ARACHNID (Hunter helm) and The Ram (Warlock helm), each available for 13 Strange Coins. Twilight Garrison is highly recommended for Titans since it allows them to dodge in mid-air while The Ram adds Life Steal to Voidwalker attacks (even non-charged melees) along with extra armour.
The Exotic weapon this week is Hawkmoon, retailing for 23 Strange Coins. This hand cannon features bullets with bonus damage, effectively leading to two-shot kills in PvP (if you can get them to stack, that is).
Other items include a Legacy engram for Heavy weapons at 31 Strange Coins; Three of Coins for 7 Strange Coins; and Glass Needles for 3 Strange Coins each. What are your thoughts on this week’s inventory? Let us know in the comments. Source: Rheena.com
After over ten years of Xbox exclusivity, the Forza Motorsport franchise is finally making the jump to PCs with Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, the free to play version of the sixth entry in the franchise, which released on Xbox One last year. Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is going to be the first time PC players get to play Turn 10’s genre defining racing sims- and they’ll get to go hands on with the PC debut of the franchise sooner than they expected.
Apex will be entering open beta starting next week, on May 5. This means that starting Thursday, as long as you have a PC running Windows 10, you can download the beta client for free and see how the new free to play structure translates to a game like Forza.
The requirements necessary to run the game are:

The long awaited Survival Mode for Fallout 4 will finally be hitting the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next week. The Survival Mode will be available as part of update 1.5, which is already available to players on PC. Survival Mode is a more hardcore take on the game, inspired by classic Fallout games- you cannot fast travel, you only save when you sleep, there are added stats, such as fatigue and diseases, to keep track of, and more.
Survival Mode is not going to be the only major update coming to the console versions of Fallout 4 either- almost a year after the initial announcement, we now finally have more information on how and when mods will be coming to the console versions of the game. The Xbox One will get mods in May, while the PS4 gets them in June- and both consoles will get a beta for the mods first.
The patch notes for update 1.5 follow:
New Features:
New Survival difficulty.
Survival adds additional challenges including no fast travel, saving only when you sleep, increased lethality, diseases, fatigue, danger and more. See the in-game Help menu for more details.
Characters set to Survival difficulty appear under their own Character Selection filter.
Third person camera movement improvements when player is close up against walls and other objects.
Fixes:
General stability and performance improvements.
Fixed rare crash related to reloading a save that relies on Automatron.
Fixed issue with the robot workbench camera not moving properly immediately after canceling out of the menu.
Fixed issue with perks being repeatedly added when reloading a saved game while in robot workbench.
Fixed issue with Ada not properly traveling to an assigned settlement.
Robots can now be assigned as settlement vendors.
Fixed issue with “Appropriation” where blueprints would not appear properly if the container had already been looted prior to getting the quest.
In “The Nuclear Option,” entering the Institute using the targeting helmet on Power Armor no longer inadvertently causes the player to go into combat, and become stuck in the Institute.
Fixed distance check with Robotics Expert perk.
While in Workshop mode, if the Jump button is remapped, the Y or Triangle button can still be used to jump.
Fixed issue with “Defend the Castle” where speaking to Ronnie Shaw would not properly complete the quest.
During “The Nuclear Option,” fast traveling away from the Institute immediately after inserting the relay targeting sequence holotape will no longer block progression.
Fixed issue where Workshop placed light bulbs would occasionally not light properly.
Fixed occasional flashing issue with entering and exiting Power Armor.
Fixed issue where terminals would not work properly after downloading and initializing an Add-On from the Add-Ons menu.
It appears as though what Call of Duty fans have long asked for will finally be happening- hot on the heels of the leak that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare may be included with some premium editions for this year’s Call of Duty game (allegedly called Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare), more leaks have cropped up on Amazon suggesting that not just the first game, the entire Call of Duty trilogy may be remastered for the current generation consoles.
The listing can be seen by visiting Amazon UK; it doesn’t tell us much beyond the fact that this compilation exists, and that it is being published under the Activision Classics label.
Personally, this being a remaster of the entire trilogy excites me- I didn’t care much for Modern Warfare 3, but Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 are among my favorite multiplayer games of all time- playing them again on the modern consoles would be great.
Obviously the trilogy pack has not yet been announced officially, and neither has Infinite Warfare– that said, we are approaching the window within which Activision announces its Call of Duty projects each year, so we should be getting some official word soon. Source: Rheena.com
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been silent for a while, but we got a brand new, excellent trailer to make up for the lack of information in the last few months today. The new trailer shows more of the horrifying society that Human Revolution‘s protagonist (returning for this game) Adam Jensen finds himself in, as well as some of the augmentations he will have in this game.
The game looks slick, stylish, and it looks like it will build on the already excellent Human Revolution further. With the delay of The Legend of Zelda into next year, Mankind Divided is definitely a frontrunner for Game of the Year this year.
The game will be available in multiple editions day one. We got information on that today too:

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available on August 23 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
A lot of this is admittedly conjecture, but the evidence is solid enough to at least entertain this notion- but freelance concept designer, Ioan Dumitrescu, has posted some rather interesting concept art for an “undisclosed project” for Sony. The images were, as a matter of fact, posted over a year ago, and they were only recently spotted by AGD.
The images depict what appears to be artwork for a first person wild west game, showing multiple things, including a rather dramatic train crash from a great height, and a gun fight. Just to ensure there is no ambiguity or confusion about any of this, the pictures are accompanied by the caption ‘I love westerns!’ too. Subtle, dude.
Dumitrescu has also worked on Sony’s VR luge game, so if this western game ever moved beyond the planning stage, and if it is still in the works, then it is probably going to be for the PlayStation VR too- we’ll probably hear more of it at E3, Gamescom, or PlayStation Experience this year, if that is the case. 343 Industries has announced the return of Halo 5: Guardians‘ Warzone Turbo mode. You can play the multiplayer mode until May 4th (next Wednesday). Warzone Turbo is an interesting variant of the typical Warzone mode. Players can reach level nine instantly and energy is regenerated at an alarming rate. It’s the result of an experiment that the developer’s QA team created in order to test out the effectiveness of the mode’s features.
Obviously this results chaotic matches where players have instant access their highest level REQs. In a way, it’s a godsend for players who never quite get the chance to access their more premium REQs or want to use them throughout the duration of the match.
Halo 5: Guardians will be bringing some more features next month including more advanced controller settings and the Infection multiplayer mode. Stay tuned for more information on the same in the coming weeks and let us know what you think of Warzone Turbo. Source: Rheena.com
Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End isn’t even out yet but copies have been circling in the wild. This is due to a shipment being stolen according to Sony but if you’ve gotten your hands on a copy, then you’ll be happy to know that its day one patch is live.
AllGamesDelta noted on Twitter that the patch is 5 GB and comes with a number of different features along with the usual general fixes and improvements. The patch adds multiplayer support, a character model viewer, an “Encounter Select” menu for single-player, concept art galleries, a journal viewer and much more. It should be interesting to see if this is the only patch to arrive in the coming weeks.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End arrives on May 10th for PlayStation 4 and will apparently be Nathan Drake’s final adventure, at least for Naughty Dog. What are your thoughts on the patch? Let us know in the comments below. Source: Rheena.com
With all the news about Nintendo and the NX, and Sony and the PlayStation 4K, Microsoft, who were among the first to float the idea of an iterative console in the first place, can often get lost in the hubbub. But it looks as though they have been silently chipping away at the Xbox behind the scenes, and in the process, they may be gearing up to launch something soon, too.
According to a leak (via NeoGAF), it sounds as though Microsoft started mass production of an Xbox One II (literally translating to Xbox One Second Generation) back in February of this year. The production capacity was for 400,000 consoles a week, meaning 1.2 million consoles a month- in other words, 3.6 million of these have been manufactured already, and Microsoft could have over 5 million ready to go by the time they presumably announce it at E3.
With a new Xbox One, and the PS4K both due later this year, Nintendo are now in a hard spot- especially since the NX has been delayed into next year, and they are left with no major game on the Wii U to fill the gaps, either.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is anticipated enough that people are willing to become literal thieves in order to play it ahead of its May 10 launch. Sony is reporting that an entire shipment of Uncharted 4 copies was stolen while in transit in what is being described as a violent assault.
“We are doing everything in our power to assist the police in their ongoing criminal investigation,” a PlayStation representative said. “To be clear, we have yet to ship any stock of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End to retail and so any suggestion that UK retailers have broken the official street date is not correct.”
That said, the official release date for the game remains unaffected, they confirmed. “The official release date of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End remains May 10th.”
Man, it’s just video games. People taking to violence over something like video games is not something I can ever understand, and I do video games for a living. Source: Rheena.com
Earlier today, Nintendo dropped the bomb that their long awaited new console, the NX, will not be launching this year as has been widely speculated- instead, Nintendo is now gearing up to launch it in March next year, leaving a full year of absolutely nothing on the Wii U in the process leading up to that launch.
That’s a very fair reason, and what I speculated might be the cause. I have no problems with them trying to get this launch just right, especially after how terrible the 3DS and Wii U launches were- I appreciate them taking their time to get all the pieces in place. The NX could very well be Nintendo’s last throw of the dice if they are to stay relevant in the console market, and it is the platform they are staking the next decade of their profitability on- I can understand them wanting to take their time and get it right.
What I do not understand, however, is why, then, they refuse to talk about the system at all at E3. That part still doesn’t make sense to me, and is, I suspect, a blunder.
Ah, well. We’ll find out more about the NX when Nintendo intend for us to, I imagine. I just wish we could have some idea of what exactly it is that they plan- especially since they keep insisting that whatever it is that they have up their sleeves is going to be something entirely new. Reputed industry insider shinobi602 is on a song today. After revealing new information about the next Call of Duty and confirming today’s leak about Infinite Warfare, one might think that he may take a breather. But it seems shinobi602 is not done yet.
He took to his Twitter profile to reveal that a shooter is going to be revealed next Friday on May 6. He did not revealed any further information. However we can make a couple of educated guess. This reveal could be related to Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare but according to our last update it seems this is not the case. The only real guess that could work in this scenario is Battlefield 5.
EA has already confirmed that a new Battlefield game is due this year so it’s very likely that they may reveal it soon. Furthermore, E3 is just a month and a half away, so it makes perfect sense for DICE to go head to head with Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare.
As usual, this information should be taken with a grain of salt but shinobi602 is a solid insider and his track record is excellent. We shall see what happens on May 6 and keep you updated as always.
Trusted industry insider shinobi602 who revealed the first bit of information about the space setting of the next Call of Duty has stated on Neogafthat today’s leak of Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare is indeed “accurate”. As usual this piece of information should be taken with a grain of salt but given shinobi602’s track record, this is most likely going to be the case.
Furthermore, he also “confirmed” on Neogaf that the game will indeed ship with a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Earlier today we reported that this year’s Call of Duty will ship with a remastered version of one of best Call of Duty games and it seems this is indeed going to be the case if shinobi602’s statements are anything to go by.
In the meantime, neither Activision or Infinity Ward have officially commented about where the next Call of Duty is going to take place. Source: Rheena.com
PopCap Games’ Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is ripe for playing, albeit for a limited time. The developer announced a new 10 hour trial for the game which allows players on PC, Xbox One and PS4 to try it out. This is the full game as well so if multiplayer isn’t your fancy then you can test out the campaign.
Along with Herbal Assault mode, which sees 24 players battling in PvP, players will be able to take part in Graveyard Ops, a four player co-op mode where Zombies have to defend against Plants. There’s tons of different unlocks including different character types, skins, cosmetics and much more.
It should be noted that the 10 hour time limit will only commence when the game is open. So if you want to maximize your time with the trial, make sure to quit out whenever you’re not playing. Any progress you make will carry over to the main game if you decide to buy it. Source: Rheena.com
Tom Clancy’s The Division will be going down for maintenance later today at 12 AM PDT/3 AM EDT/9 AM CEST. It will be downtime for three hours so do something or the other in the meantime as maintenance happens.
This won’t be simple maintenance though. A patch will be deployed, fixing the Protection from Elites perk to actually reduce damage taken from Elite foes. Other bugs being fixed include the Rehabilitated talent remaining active if used when standing in a tear gas grenade; an exploit where players could phase through walls if they had the Jumping Jack emote on when using a ladder; and a change to Falcon Lost where players can no longer shoot into the instance if they’re outside of it.
News on how Ubisoft Massive will deal with cheaters and exploiters will be coming in today’s State of the Game so stay tuned for more information and let us know what you think of the patch. Source: Rheena.com
We were promised last week we would get more information about the ability to create Snap Maps in Doom and now Bethesda has made good on its word. A new video has surfaced that shows a hands on look of this Snap Map feature which is a toolset that will be in every copy of the game.
As the video shows, the Snap Map looks like it’s a rather limited feature at first glance, but the more you play around with it, the more features you suddenly realize are at your fingertips. The video shows you can use the feature to create a zombie-style survival mode, tower defense mode, or even play basketball with grenades, among a myriad of other features.
Check out the video below and get ready because Doom is almost here after quite the long wait. Doom launches for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 13, 2016.
