New Details Emerge About DriveClub On Playstation VR

While we got a little bit of information about DriveClub on Playstation VR way back in October, we hadn’t heard a whole lot about the title until this month. Game Director Paul Rustchynsky was quite active on Twitter in the last few days and while he didn’t share a ton of specific details he did shed a bit of light on the upcoming title. Among the questions he did answer, the director reiterated that the game runs at 60fps and then is projected into the VR device at 120fps. He added that the developers have worked hard to optimize things and reduce the lag.

There wasn’t a whole lot else the director was able to talk about. He was specifically asked whether or not the VR version of the game was going to be a standalone, or would it be a patch. Rustchynsky responded that he couldn’t really talk about it, but there would be additional information coming when E3 kicks off. He was also asked whether or not there would ever be a Motorstorm VR but he shot that down rather quickly, just saying he and his team were very much focused on making sure they get DriveClub VR out to the public.

A new video, which is included below will give you a bit of a look at DriveClub on Playstation VR. Right around the 6:32 mark in the video, which you can see below, you can get a look at people wearing the tech and trying out the game. We’ll have to wait and see what more is announced come E3.
