Xbox One To Get A “Minor” Software Update Soon

It was going to happen eventually- after almost two years of consistent updates for the Xbox One OS, which saw Microsoft add some big features, and make some major fixes, there was bound to be a time eventually when they would have fixed the OS pretty much completely, leading to them running out of things to add or fix with new firmware updates.

That is probably why there has been only one major firmware update for the Xbox One so far this year- and no further major ones are announced, either. After all, what is there left to do at this point? Outside of complaints about how the OS is laid out, which is a subjective thing, and not likely to be fixed, because that seems to be Microsoft’s vision for it, and it at the very least seems like the OS meets that vision- what else can Microsoft do now?

Not much, it seems like. That is why the next firmware update for the Xbox One, Xbox’s Mike Ybarra announced on Twitter today, will be minor, with no big changes. You can expect it within the next week or so.
