Following the announcement of Overkill Software regaining the franchise rights to Payday and removing microtransactions going forward, Starbreeze revealed that Payday 3 was in development. This was part of an agreement with publisher 505 Games that would help it receive 33 percent of revenue from the game (capped at $40 million). Payday 3 is expected “in the future” but no further details have been provided
If that weren’t enough, Overkill is teasing some Payday 2-related development for E3 2016. So it’s likely we find out the next major piece of content when E3 gets rolling on June 14th. What are your thoughts on a sequel though? Let us know in the comments below.
