If you picked up No Man’s Sky on Steam and faced the numerous issues that other players did at launch, then you were probably able to secure a refund from Valve fairly quickly. That’s how the service’s policy works, if you’ve owned the game for 14 days and played less than two hours of course.
Numerous players wrote into Eurogamer and the reality is even weirder than you’d think. There are players who would like to return the game but would then be barred from EVER playing it again in the future. There are also the responses from Sony support staff telling players that multiplayer was never advertised (despite it being mentioned on the box) or simply responses declining refunds.
Even weirder? Sony noted its refund policy which states, “Players are entitled to receive refunds in line with the published refund policy on PlayStation.com. In instances where players receive a refund, they will of course be able to re-purchase the game at later date and play.”
That’s clearly not happening though based on several feedback responses. What are your thoughts on the whole ordeal? Let us know in the comments.
