Red Barrels’ Outlast 2, the follow-up to its horrifying and amazing first person horror, won’t be out this year. In a new post on the game’s officialFacebook page, the developer noted that it had delayed the sequel from its Fall 2016 release to Q1 2017.
“This is not the type of news we ever want to deliver, but we are so fully committed to the world we’ve built and to our awesome community that we could not, in good conscience, release a game who’s limits haven’t been tested to the extreme.”
Outlast 2 takes place in a different setting this time around and promised to be even more terrifying than the original. It’s in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
