For Honor Removes Split-Screen Support

Following what’s been a long-standing trend for a while now, Ubisoft’s For Honor removes split-screen multiplayer from its list of features. This is despite the fact that it was a feature that the developer “loved” according to producer Stephane Cardin.

In a new video (starts at 4:23) which discusses the recent closed alpha and stats that emerged from it, Cardin stated that, “We decided this week to cut the split-screen. It was a feature that we loved, but, when we looked at what needs to be done to support online co-op, it was critical to make a decision now so we can polish all the features at the AAA level and make sure we’re the most amazing experience.”

For Honor isn’t just about multiplayer though – there’s a full solo campaign centered on its three factions to go with the various online modes. It will be out on February 14th 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on split-screen being cut? Let us know in the comments.
