Destiny Hotfix Fixes Winter’s Run Skeleton Key Drops, Vanguard Loot Drops

The latest patch for Bungie’s Destiny: Rise of Iron is now live and it fixes quite a few things with the game. For instance, an issue that caused the Taken version of the Winter’s Run Strike from not dropping Skeleton Keys at the correct rate has been fixed. A glitch where players could access Skyline’s rooftops in Crucible has also been fixed.

Many quality of life improvements have been issued. It will now be possible to obtain Rise of Iron Vanguard and Crucible Weapons from Engrams, thus ensuring a wider selection of rolls and drop rates for these previously vendor-exclusive weapons. Armour obtained from Dusty Engrams will also no longer dismantle into Legendary Marks, instead returning one Silver Dust on dismantling. The Silver Dust requirement has also been removed for Iron Lord, Trials of Osisis and Heroic Raid Armour Ornaments.

However, the hotfix also nerfs the farm for SIVA Key Fragments. On Normal difficulty for Wrath of the Machine, killing a boss once will net you three fragments. The second time drops two and the third time nets you one. Until the next weekly reset, you won’t be able to obtain any more fragments. The same goes for Heroic raid bosses.
