Atlus’s Persona 5 won’t be out in February 2017 for the West. Instead, it will be out on April 4th 2017. Atlus PR manager John Hardin said, “Persona 5 set the gold standard for Atlus with its launch in Japan, and we wanted to put the utmost care into ensuring it winds up the best when it launches in the west.”
“This was something we especially wanted to do for the Atlus Faithful, the ones who still appreciate our English dubs and respect all the effort we put into localizing. We’ve been fighting for this for a long while, and we are glad we can make this happen for all of those who support us and love our games.”
As a sort of apology for the delay, you can pick up a Ryuji Sakamoto theme and avatar on PS4 till November 17th from the PlayStation Store for free. If you pre-ordered the “Take Your Heart” premium edition, the soundtrack will now feature Justine and Caroline of the Velvet Room.
