As we are about to hit the one-year mark for the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program, the company has said it’s going to do something to celebrate. Just what that celebration is going to entail is anyone’s guess and Major Nelson was quick to point out it likely won’t be preceded with a “major announcement.”
At the same time, Phil Spencer has been hinting that the list of games joining the backwards compatibility program in November is going to make people happy, saying there are a lot of fan favourites on the list. Ever since Microsoft launched this program almost a year ago, it has had a distinct advantage over Sony to the point where some PS4 players are quite annoyed the firm hasn’t done something similar yet.
