Even for those who didn’t have high hopes for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare at E3, it’s showcase at Sony’s presser looked fairly entertaining. Speaking to GameSpot, design director Jacob Minkoff talks about innovating with the sci-fi FPS and essentially creating a game he’s wanted to play for 20 years or so.
Narrative director Taylor Kurosaki said that this will still be a traditional war story. “The way that these stories, the good ones anyway end up, it’s guys putting on boots and grabbing a rifle and being boots on ground – in this case, sometimes the ground may not be on Earth.”
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is out on November 4th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It has you playing as Captain Reyes, a soldier who takes control of the space ship Retribution following his captain’s death.
